Q

What is the relationship between ATP and energy required reactions? (2)

A
  • Hydrolysis of ATP can be coupled to energy-requiring reactions within cells e.g. Na+ K+ pump
  • Inorganic phosphate released during the hydrolysis of ATP can be transferred to another molecule > making them more reactive
    (Phosphorylation)
