Uses simple geometric forms and ziggurats ( seen in NY skyscrapers, stepped pyramid structures ) - sunburst motifs ( rays radiating from a central point )

Post WW1 idealism - form follows function - embraced mass production though few products made it out - Bauhaus courses covered materials, forms, architecture, furniture design - shut down due to Nazi pressure

Countered simplicity of form - used bold and colourful designs, challenged simplicity - form took over function, looked more like sculptures than products - anthropomorphic an zoomorphic
What are Dieter Rams 10 rules of design
Is innovative, makes a product useful, is aesthetic, makes a product understandable, is unobtrusive, is honest, has longevity, is thorough to the last detail, is as little design as possible
