approaches - biological approach Flashcards
1
Q
assumptions
A
- all human behaviour is at first biological, mind lives in the brain
- physical factors e.g. hormones/inheritance of genes/neuroanatomy/nervous system can be used to explain behaviour
- genotype/phenotype determines how we will behave
2
Q
biological approach AO1
A
- biological approach suggests we should use scientific techniques to study behaviour
- e.g. gene mapping, fMRI’s, EEG’s, and family/twin studies
- allows us to objectively study how biology can affect our behaviour
