Capitalization
A
Capitalize:
- proper nouns
- key words of composition titles like books
- Beginning of sentence
- a course name (official name - i.e. Algebra I), but not a generic course reference (I’m taking an algebra class.)
- Class of 2018, or Senior Class, not senior
- formal title before a name: Principal Victor Serna but teacher Bridget O’Neill.

Titles
A
- Don’t use courtesy titles (note: this is the rule, but Seton always uses them).
- Use Dr. for medical doctors (note: this is the rule, but Seton always recognizes scholastic PhD and PhEd titles).
- Long titles preferred AFTER the name separated by comma
- If possible to omit title for brevity, do so.
- Composition titles are in quote marks. No italics or underlines.
