(AOM) Maneuvers Flashcards

1
Q

Steep Turns (AOM 10.1)

A

Perform 180° or 360° turns in either direction.

PF may brief the PM to make heading, speed, and altitude callouts.

Q

Stall Recovery (AOM 10.3.3)

A

If terrain is a factor, use intermittent stall indications as the upper limit of pitch attitude. When terrain clearance is assured, adjust pitch as required to accelerate.

Q

Windshear Caution (AOM 10.6)

A

Amber visual WINDSHEAR indication

Single aural message, “CAUTION WINDSHEAR”

Upon receiving a caution evaluate reported winds and current atmospheric conditions to determine the need to initiate an escape maneuver.

Windshear caution associated with convective activity requires immediate escape maneuver.

Q

Emergency Descent EDM (AOM 10.7)

A

EDM does not engage below FL310. The messages will clear when AP is disconnected.

EDM will level the aircraft off at 15,000 ft. AP is disconnected if aircraft decelerates to stick shaker. EDM does not adjust pitch for overspeed incursion.
