A

obessions - unwelcome thought, images, doubts that repeatedly appear in your mind

compulsive - repeatitive activities that you must do

What is PTSD?

A

Describes a pyschological problem resulting from a traumatic event

e.g. war, car crash, natural disaser, sexual assult

describe GAD treatment

A
  1. identify cause and educate on treatments and actively monitor
  2. No improvement - self help groups/ guides and low intensity pyschological innervations
  3. No improvement - CBT or drug treatment
  4. No improvement - complex drug and/or pyschological treatment

  • Relaxation techniques
  • CBT
  • Medication: b blockers, ADS (SSRIs or TC)

  • AD: SSRIs or SNRI
