A

He continued benivieni’s work, performing over 700 autopsies. He established correlations between the pathology of the patient with the naked eye anatomy of the autopsies

What did Xavier Bichat do?

A

He creates the idea that organs are composed of tissues . He used physical and chemical means to separate tissues, and finds that the same tissues are present in different organs and the same tissue undersgoes the same changes in response to disease –> General Pathology

A

He proposed that structural and functional changes withing the cell were the pathological basis of disease, this came after the acceptance of cell theory –> cellular pathology
