A

Fusion: berhaviour and attention are dominated by your thoughts, believing those are you reality. you are your thoughts and they are to be obeyed.

Defusion is seeing your thoughts as a response to reality, you are aware of your thoughts. They are either helpful or unhelpful, not he holy grail

Chessboard metaphor

A

In fusion, you’re constantly playing chess with positive on one side and negative on the other. The problem:
- there’s endless positive & negative thoughts so the game never ends
- positive players attract negative players: I’m a good friend, vs no you’re not you forgot her bday
