D wrote to C offering to sell some wool, C replied with interest but before D received the letter back they had sold to a third party
What are the requirements for the postal rule to apply ?
The letter is the acceptance
Letter is the usual/expected form of communication between parties
Offeree must be able to prove the letter was posted
If all the requirements of the postal rule are met, when does the acceptance occur ?
As soon as the letter is posted
