Daily Fluid Requirement

1-10 kg = 100 mL/kg

11-20 kg = 1000mL + 50mL for each kg above 10kg

> 20 kg = 1500mL + 20mL for each kg above 20

Oral Rehydration

Mild (5-6%) - Give ORS 50mL/kg within 4 hours

Moderate (7-9%) - Give ORS 100mL/kg within 4 hours

Severe (>9%) - Give IV LR 40 mL/kg until pulse and LOC normalize then 50-100 mL/kg or ORS
