Q

what does it inovlve

A

involves cytoplasmic changes dominated by synthesis of proteins for the azurophilic granules and
specific granules. These proteins made in ER

Q

what are the stages

A
  1. pluripotent hemopoietic stem cell
  2. myeloblast - first recognizable cell has finely dispersed chromatin, and faint nucleoli
  3. promyelocyte - has basophilic cytoplasm and azurophilic granules
  4. myelocyte (eoisno, neut, baso) - doesn’t hv nucleolus + specific granules produced. eosinophilic myelocytes= red gran, basophilic = coarse blue gran, neutrophilic = fine salmon gran
  5. metamylocytes - doesnt divide and make granules
  6. Band cell - cytoplasm filled with granules
  7. mature granulocyte
