Who is responsible for administering the contract?
NEC is PM
JCT is Employer’s Agent or Contract Administrator
What is PC?
Practical Completion is the when the project is complete and there are only minor defects that don’t interfere the use of building.
What happens at PC?
-50% of retention is released
-Defect rectification starts
-The employer starts insuring and securing the building
-Damages end

Sectional completion vs partial possession?
Sectional completion is pre-agreed. Same as PC. Partial possession is not pre agreed but same procedure happens pending the contractor’s acceptance.
What is “Time at Large”?
No completion date in the Contract or it is invalid. Best endeavours should be used to meet completion date.
What clause did you refer to in your instruction?
14.3 for the changes to scope or key date.
What clause would you refer to for EWN? and why would you raise it?
Clause 15 for EWN. For potential changes in cost, time or performance.
How did did you manage to issue instruction if you’re not the PM?
Delegated powers by the PM notified to the subcontract to do so. Stated in 14 (instructions)
