Frontal, transverse, sagittal
Types of axes
Longitudinal, transverse, sagittal
Frontal plane is
Passes from side to side and splits body into back and front
Transverse plane is
Passes through the middle of the body horizontally and splits it into top and bottom
Sagittal plane is
A vertical plane that divides body into left and right sides
Transverse axis is
A line that runs from left to right through the centre of the body
Sagittal axis
Runs front to back through the cnetre of the body
Longitudinal axis
Runs from top to bottom through the centre of the body
