Animal Cell Notes: Flashcards
used in cell reproduction ((the two cylinders in the cell)) -
Centrioles.
barrier to materials going in/out of the cell ((The whole sides of the circle/cell)) -
Cell Membrane.
genetics material, controls cell activities, codes for proteins ((the big circle in the animal cell, NOT the black part))
Choromatin of Chromosomes.
jelly-like, supports organelles ((the whole inside of the cell))
Cytoplasm.
whip-like structure used for movement ((the thingy hanging from the animal cell))
Flagella.
sorts & packages proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum ((right by the Choromatin of Choromosomes, and its has circular lines)) -
Golgi Body.
digestion/breakdown of lipids, carbohydrates, & proteins ((two little circles on each side of the Choromatin of Choromosomes)) -
Lysosomes.
provides energy for the cell ((the three ovals in the animal cell)) -
Mitochondria.
where lipids & proteins are made, covered in ribosomes ((on bottom of cell, the lines, but it has the black dots “ribosomes”)) -
Rough Encloplasmic Reticulum.
has no ribosomes, contains enzymes ((at top of the animal cell, the lines, but NO black dots on it “ribosomes”)) -
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum.
transports materials ((the super, small dots on the animal cell)) -
Vesticles.
help provides structure and support for the cell ((the skinny, tube looking thing in the cell)) -
Microtubles & Microfilaments.
where proteins are made
Ribosomes.
