Q

Steps after herbivory occurs that induce induced plant responses?

Q

Mustard oil bomb?

A

Isothiocyanate produced from glycosinolate as it is activated by myrosinase. With glucose added, it creates isothiocyanate. Myrosinase and glycosinolate is stored separately in the leaf and is encountered when the leaf is torn. This save cost of self toxicity. This is highly toxic on herbivores.
