case study
skinner:
starved rat for 24 hours, put into box
food only served if on one side
kept making side smaller
only gave rat food if it pressed a lever
action –> positive consequence –> reinforced behaviour
evaluation
GOOD
-skinner, done under controlled conditions, can be replicated, scientific
-real world applications, TEPs used positive reinforcement for addicts
BAD
-research done with animalise, cannot generalise animals with humans, we have free will
