connect with one website through other websites through hyperlinks.
what is static webpage
this is shown to the user exactly as it is held on the server. it does not change.
it is written in HTML and CSS
making it easier o code so the organisations can pay the developer less.
what is dynamic webpage. / benefits
it changes everytime its loaded.
it isn’t as simple to code - requires programming languages such as Java Script and PHP
BENEFITS
it is coded in seperate sections which makes changes easier after the setup
tailored towards individual users - such as tiktok fyp changing everytime its loaded.
blogs - what is it
a written article about a specific topic.
it is used to share regular updates, news and stories.
why would an organisation use a blog?
it builds a loyal and engaging audience over time.
but is time consuming to write.
streaming/streams purpose + examples
purpose - platforms that send audio or video to your computer without storing it.
examples - internet radio, music streaming, catch up tv e.g bbc iplayer.
it makes you want to watch/listen things you immediately
podcast purpose
spoken word audio file - can be downloaded/streamed without internet
podcast advantages
- its personal, relaxed.
- for individual people: they can multitask.
podcast disadvantages
- it doesn’t suit formal announcements for businesses
- the podcasts usually have adverts, unless you pay for them through premium
-it takes mobile data
social media purpose
what it is - websites + applications
purpose: it allows people to share and communicate information
social media for business
they can make accounts to share info and interact with customers
social media advantages
- large number of people/customers can be reached
- non customers can see the messaging/posts
social media disadvantages
- it requires a social media team which can be expensive.
- trolls and offensive messages can impede the core messaging, making you have less control over it.
document stores purpose + example
purpose - upload and download files held on a file server
example - using cloud storage provider like one drive
