Discuss the Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) before you operate a weapon
Do a full function check on your weapon to identify problems early and prevent failures during operation. Safety on, pull trigger and hammer shouldn’t move. safety off, pull trigger and hammer should cycle. Make sure you can lock the slide to the rear. Test magazine release. Clean and lube as necessary
