C in CER
Claim - Conclusion that addresses the original ? or problem about a phenomenon
E in CER
Evidence - Pieces of data that support the claim
R in CER
Reasoning - Explanation of how the data supports the claim
Atom
The smallest unit that is capable of carrying out all the life processes.
Molecule
Multiple atoms bonded together
Organelle
Specialized structures that preform various jobs inside the cells.
Cell
The fundamental building block of a chemical element.
Tissue
A group of cells not necessarily the same kind, that work together to preform a specific task.
Organ
A group of different tissues that form a singular unit and preform a similar function.
Organ System
A group of organ that interact to preform a similar function.
Organism
An individual living thing that can be unicellular or multicellular.
Population
Members of the same species that interact in the same area.
Community
All the different populations that interact in an area.
Ecosystem
All the different populations that interact as well as abiotic factors that effect the population in a specific area.
Biome
All the similar ecosystems around the planet.
Biosphere
All the different biomes that make us the Earth.
CER Example (from class)
There was a missing poster posted of the cat which mean the cat was missing. The cat was Missing because the dig killed the and is covering up murder. The dog is seen digging in dirt and covering up pet tags to hide the body of the cat. When someone is murdered, the body is usually hidden to hide the murder. If there are witnesses to the crime, they are often, bribed to keep quiet about the crime. The man saw the dog burying the cat so he bribed the man with Doritos to keep him quiet about witnessing seeing the dog disposing of the cat’s body.
