What equipment must you take with you when protecting your derailed train?
- Red hand signals/red light.
- Portable
- Pen Keys (duh)
- DRA
If multiple trips of a relief train are required to assist a derailment, what authority is needed?
You need 1 TA per trip of relief train(s)
If you are travelling from the advance as a relief train during night or inclement weather, what must you do?
You must set your marker lights to red.
(This could be so trains on parralel lines don’t mistake you for a train heading in their direction)
When a line is obstructed due to natural causes and your train needs to return to rear (and you have your TA) what must the train display?
Red lights
What authority does the driver of a derailed train dictate to the TC?
Driver Relief Authority (DRA)
What is the max speed over a level crossign when traveling in the wrong direction?
15km/h
What is the driver’s first duty when a train derails on a double line?
Look to see if your train has fouled the other line, so you know if you need to make a TEC or REC
