First driver in the morning opens the gates.
Last driver closes them. Seriously, how do you know?

How do you identify the number 1 and 2 gate of a siding gate?
To whom must you report gate faults?
How do you know which key to use?
A
From the outside of the siding 1 is left 2 is right.
Siding gate faults are reported to TC or PD.
There is a sign on the gate telling you ya spud.

Which siding gates have special instrctions?
A
Brighton Beach and Hustbridge
Only signallers can operate gates and WSA points. In the even they are not open, driver must call the signaller.

After the last train leaves the sidings, is it necessary to lock the sidings gate?
