As long as (ὅσον χρόνον) they have the bridegroom (νυμφίον) with them, they cannot fast. The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away (ἀπαρθῇ) from them, and then they will fast in that day (Mark 2:19-20)

No one sews a piece (ἐπίβλημα) of unshrunk (ἀγνάφου) cloth (ῥάκους) on an old (παλαιόν) garment (ἱμάτιον). If he does, the patch (πλήρωμα) tears away (αἴρει) from it, the new (καινὸν) from the old (παλαιοῦ), and a worse (παλαιοῦ) tear (σχίσμα) happens. Mark 2:21
Καὶ οὐδεὶς βάλλει οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς παλαιούς· εἰ δὲ μή, ῥήξει ὁ οἶνος τοὺς ἀσκούς, καὶ ὁ οἶνος ἐκχεῖται καὶ οἱ ἀσκοὶ ἀπολοῦνται· ἀλλὰ οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς καινούς.
And no one puts wine new into old (παλαιούς) wineskins (ἀσκοὺς) if now not will burst (ῥήξει) the wine (οἶνος) the wineskins (ἀσκούς) and the wine pours out (ἐκχεῖται) and the skins will be destroyed but new wine into new wineskins. Mark 2:22
