Used @ 1st for surveilllance, new tech. increased in importance as the war came to a close. Most famous air combat (D?), lot was the infamous “Red Barron” from Germany.

Used extensively by Germans. U-boats were important in disrupting shipping lines and supplies coming to the allies

Space between trenches was “no man’s land”, command to attach was “over the top”
