Carpal tunnel syndrome

A

Strong fibrous bands of fascia called flexor retinaculum arch over the carpal bones on the palmar aspect of the hand

These form caul tunnel which contain flexor tendons
Inflammation of tendons and synovial sheets surrounding tendons - compression of median nerve
