A

Examining the community surrounding individuals can help gain insight and effectiveness in helping can be achieved. Helpers are nurses, doctors, therapists etc. and they often focus just on the individual needs. Community focus= helping more than 1 individual

A

Human needs must be met first (food, shelter…). Someone who’s homeless isn’t going to benefit from self exploration/growth when they struggle to find food. We need to change the conditions that affects people rather than try to change people who are affected by conditions.

A

Become familiar with resources in community, have knowledge of cultural backgrounds of clients, alter interventions to meet clients needs, implement program to apply to broad range of people, teach/empower client to be their own advocates, and connect with community.
