age?

associated symptoms?

nature of pain?

does the pain radiate?

the severity of pain?

the onset of pain?

dx? tried OTC?

pmHx? history of std?

HPC?

A

age? because pd is common in adolescent and women in their 20’s, sd usually affect women in their 30’s.

associated symptoms? (are you having menorrhagia, abnormal vaginal discharge, is you period irregular, painful sex, discomfort)

nature of pain? because pd is cramping, Sd is dull continuous diffused pain

does the pain radiate?

severity of pain? pain is rarely severe in pd (decreases with onset of menstruation), if it is moderate to severe refer lower abdominal pain

onset of pain?
pd lower abdominal cramping pain starts very shortly before or within 24 hours from the on set of menses

Sd possibly before a few days from the onset of bleeding

dx? tried OTC?

pmx? history of std?
