Refer if weak, dizzy, pain on defecation, blood in stools

Treatment of constipation
A
Fibre
Fluids – prune, pear, apple juice eg sorbitol (stool softener)
Physical activity
If all else fails – osmotic/bulk forming laxatives

Any other associated symptoms?
Did you recently change the child’s diet?
Could it be associated with Potty training?
