when did it start? usually gradual after changing the nappy brand

can you describe the rash? red, sore rash with white patches, some weepy areas
what makes it worse? wearing nappy
Symptoms: soreness on changing nappy, maceration of the skin
what advice should you give?
Additional Advice:
Allow the baby periods of time without a nappy on
Stick to brands he has not shown allergic symptoms to
Use barrier creams on a regular basis
Early treatment avoids secondary infection
avoid using soaps for cleaning
change nappy as soon as they have been soiled
what is the treatment?
Treatment is symptomatic – barrier creams like bepanthen/sudocrem (may dry out if weeping) or if signs of candida antifungal like clotrimazole.
