Why would a patient with SP Qi Vacuity lack the desire to eat? Explain
SP is taxed due to vacuity
Why would a patient with Damp Accumulation lack the desire to eat?
· no space to have desire to eat
· can go hand-in-hand with SP Qi Vacuity
Lack of appetite could be due to SP Qi Vacuity. Why can overeating ALSO be due to SP Qi Vacuity? Explain
· T & T function of SP is compromised, so system is undernourished and wants to take in more food
· in other words, failure of nourishment is driving eating (not appetite driving eating)
· the body compensates by trying to eat more for nourishment; however, the SP is taxed and won’t process food, which leads to accumulation
Constant Hunger could be what possible pathologies?

· Vacuity ST Heat
What are the signs & sx of Excess ST Heat leading to constant hunger?
· ravenous
· constantly hungry but as soon as they eat, they burn it off

· however, sipping fluids
· patient eats tiny portions all day long (to try to keep system nourished)
