Why did proportional representation make the Weimar Government weak?
It meant that lots of different political parties were able to win some seats in the Reichstag, but it was difficult for one party to get a majority.
This becomes an issue as the parties will be forced to coallate and work together to pass laws, which often caused disputes and made law making a very slow process.
It was difficult to have strong policies.
Why did Article 48 make the Weimar Government weak?
The constitution containing Article 48 meant that laws could be passed without the Reichstag by the order of the President.
