Forcing people to join the arm rather than relying on people volunteering.

Why did the Germans need submarines?
To sink ships bringing supplies to Britain and her allies.
Why did the USA join the war?
Wen the Germans sunk the Lusitania, a US passenger ship that was also carrying war supplies.
What happened with Italy during the war?
They switched sides and became part of the triple entente which meant Germany also had to fight them.
Who fought in the Eastern Front and what happend?
Russia and Germany, and in 1917 Russia had a revolution and signed an armistice with Germany and stopped fighting.
What is an armistice?
An agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting for a certain time; a truce.
