why is criminal psychology useful to the public?
ASB and crimes are highly publicised
what is anti social behaviour?
not a crime in itself but can lead to one, it is acting in a manner that may cause/ likely to cause harm, alarm or distress to members of the public. It also reduces quality of life
what is crime?
behaviour that violates social norms, moral values, religious beliefs and legal boundaries and is subject to some sort of punishment. Laws are passed that reflect what is morally and socially accepted at the time
what is recidivism?
the rate of reoffending
