• active against P. acnes - these are broad spectrum antibiotics
• indicated for mod to severe acne and inflammatory acne resistant to other therapies

• contraindicated in kids less than 8 years - causes teeth staining
• Can take E-mycin or Azithromycin

• must take on an empty stomach (increases absorption)
