  • “anti-androgen” effect
  • thicken’s & stabilizes endometrium
  • thickens cervical mucus
  • thins vaginal mucosa
  • relaxes smooth muscle of uterus

in contraception: suppress ovulation (shuts off LH), thicken mucus

ex) implant (Nexplanon)
