LOADING/UNLOADING M240B
LOADING- Raise the cover assembly and ensure weapon is clear
Lower the feed tray, place the safety on “f”, and pull the cocking handle to the rear
Place the first round of the belt in the feed tray groove
Hold the belt about the six rounds from the loading end
Ensure that the round remains in the feed tray groove
UNLOADING- pulling and locking the bolt to the rear position.
Manually return the cocking handle to its forward position.
Places the safety on “s.”
Raise the cover assembly and remove any ammunition or links from the feed tray.
Perform the four-point safety check.

LOADING - Keep the weapon pointed down range.
Place weapon on SAFE.
Open top cover.
Push first round into feeder and across the secondary pawl.
Move feed slide assembly to the left.
Close top cover.
UNLOADING- Place safety switch on SAFE.
Open top cover assembly.
Lower one charger handle.
Pull charger handle slightly to the rear
Check for live ammunition.
