EQUIPMENT LAY UP

-STATUS I AND II
Equipment should be placed in IEM when there is no foreseeable operational need for the equipment for a period of time covering 30 days or more.
Equipment that will remain on board and will be inactive for thirty days or longer and is not scheduled for corrective maintenance or overall.
Equipment that is inactive for thirty days or longer and is directly subject to corrective maintenance, overhaul, or removal for safe storage/replacement

A. Manages the equipment yard and the CESE parked in it
B. MAINTAIN AN ACCURATE UP-TO-DATE LOCATION LIST OF THE UNIT’S COLLATERAL EQUIPMENT USING THE CB 60 FORM
C. HOLDS A KEY EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT POSITION IN THE UNIT, AND CONTROLS THE DAY TO-DAY EQUIPMENT ASSIGNMENTS AND CESE USAGE
D. NORMALLY A CONSTRUCTION MECHANIC SENIOR CHIEF (CMCS) AND WILL HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 3-M PQS THROUGH 306
E. maintains the details, DFT or detachments repair parts status and accountability records
STATE THE PURPOSE OF THE MONTHLY CESE/MHE
Monthly CESE/MHE Report - All NCF units are directed to submit a monthly Civil Engineer Support Equipment/Material Handling Equipment (CESE/MHE) Report.
Describe in detail the steps and procedures required to initiate Table of Allowance (TOA) changes.
The NAVSUP form 1220-2, Allowance Change Request/Report is the prescribed document to request item addition/deletion, or quantity increases/decreases in all published allowances lists.
