3 Water tight Conditions

A

1.X-ray- lowest water tight condition level,any doors that have a ‘X’ msrked on them should be closed and locked by 12 clips
2.Yankee-Heightened level & represents a possible danger to ship.This may be when a ship in close or when entering or exiting a harbour.It means all ‘X’ & ‘Y’ doors are shut,but only 2 clips required on ‘Y’ doors
3.Zulu-Highest level & is used during action stations, all ‘X’,’Y’ & ‘Z’ doors shut and 12 clipped

Dc shoring is an efficient form of leak/flood stopping & provides structural support to bulkhead & hatches
1. Proud & breast- for bulkheads,side plating
2. Vertical shoring-Hold leaks & stop leaks
3. Square shoring-Hatches,side plating & bulkheads
4. V shoring -damage to decks
