The johari window
A visual representation of what you know about yourself and what others know about you. It is comprised of four perspectives.
The public or open self
What is known by you and also known by others
The blind self
What is not known by you but what is known by others
The private or hidden self
What do you know about yourself but what others do not
The undiscovered self
Something that you and others do not know about you
Harmonious passion
The internalization of passion as an activity in which the person has free will in determining engagement. In other words, the passion is not overpowering, but rather Incorporated into a persons life.
Obsessive passion
Something that leaves a person to having an uncontrollable urge to engage in the activity. There is no free will, but rather the passion drives the person to possible conflict and discomfort.
Joy and happiness
Is internal, it connects us to deepest feelings and engages with others. Is external, you see the world around you as a place that can be engaged in. Happiness involves pleasure, engagement, and life meeting.
Acting on you passions
Perspective, attitude, sensitivity, saver, interest, opportunity, and nourish
What are the impacts of government policies and large scale industrial projects on the Yintah
Yintah is a term used by the Wetsuweten people that refers to territory or land it is a spirit filled being and a living force, which means that all things come from the land and the community is deeply connected to it. Government policies, laws about using our lands and resources and industrial projects restricted ways of living and cut off the people from the land.
Why is self-determination fundamental to this social culture, logistic, spiritual, and environmental health of the wetsuweten people
Self determine is fundamental as it is essential to support young indigenous children’s mental wellness and emphasize connection to culture, language, and land. This resilience fosters a strong sense of self that situated in family and community.
