Focusses on factors that have a direct or indirect impact on the health of people across the world
Poverty
Most important factor and greatest killer of people in less developed countries
GNI
Gross national income, the total amount of money earned by nations people and businesses
GDP
Gross domestic product, measures how much of that value stays in the country and usually determines the level of poverty and morality rates
G7 countries
An informal grouping of seven of the worlds advanced economies, which includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States
Poverty outcomes
Malnutrition and starvation, lack of basic services, less access to education, social discrimination, poor health
Canada child benefit
Tax-free benefit that provide support to low to middle income families to help with the cost of raising children
Canada’s workers benefit
A refundable tax credit that helps the earnings of low income workers by letting them take home more money while they work
Guaranteed income supplement
Monthly non-taxable benefit to old age, security pension recipients have a low income and living in Canada
National housing strategy
A 10 year plan to help reduce homelessness and improve the availability and quality of housing for Canadians in need
Vaccine debate
People in favor, say it prevents disease and saves lives and it’s for the collective good. However, people against argue for religious reasons and personal beliefs, as well as safety concerns, wanting more information, and feel like they don’t need it.
Environmental detriments
Climate change, over consumption of resources, increase energy demands, environmental pollution, improper disposal of human waste, which is related to access to safe and abundant water supply

Water, sanitation, and hygiene. Plus, key role in preventing tropical disease diseases and improving, drinking water and sanitation for all.
