How does the host cell use mRNA to produce viral membrane proteins?
A
- Translation to translate the virus code to tRNA.
- The mRNA attaches to a ribosome.
- tRNA brings a specific amino acid.
- Complimentary base pairing between mRNA codon and tRNA anticodon.
- Ribosome has room for two tRNA molecules/ it brings two amino acids into close proximity.
- Condensation reaction occurs and a peptide bond is formed between amino acids.
- The polypeptide chain is folded.
