sudden attacks of unilateral vertigo and vomitting in previously well person

around 1-2 days improving over a week
full recovery can take several months
what cna happen during recovery from vestibular neuronitis
episodes of decompensation
signs of vestibular neuronitis
nystagmus away from the affected side
investigations for acute neuronitis
audiogram
MRI scan
managemtn for acute neurontis 3
vestibular suppresants eg Bucasteam or cyclizine
-prochlorperazine for acute symptoms control
but only for vertinginous symptoms not disequilibrium as can slow rehabilitation
