A
shortly after extubation
-as post-extubation stridor and results from damage to the mucuos of the larynx
mucosal damage-> increased pressure and ischaemia resulting in an inflammatory response

what else can cause laryngeal oedema
A
several conditions including viral or bacterial infeciton known as acute epiglottitis
allergic reactions such as angioedmea or anaphylaxis
