Q

When you Call upon Jesus what are to calling Him for? How must you call upon Jesus?

scripture reference: Romans 10:10 (how does this verse relate?)

A
  • To save you. Ex: asking Him if He can really help.
  • Call out for Him in humility
  • When you believe with your heart that Christ is your Savior, -> your justification (made righteous because He free you from the guilt of sin and acceptable to God). when you verbally confess this you (your faith) -> salvation and confirms it. (this is according to the will of God)

Q

What does faith have to do with Trusting?

Scripture reference: Mark 8:34

A
  • Faith leads to trusting in the Love of Jesus by** following Him** . Christians must continue practicing their faith. Walking in obedience, fleeing from sin, and trusting in Jesus and not themselves.
  • Trusting the love of Jesus and following Him requires you to deny yourself and pick up cross (responsibilities, enduring what is to come as a follower)

Q

How can you answer the objection, “I don’t believe the bible”

A
  • The bible’s main message is how a person **can be saved **and have eternal life, how do you think the bibles says this?
  • Incorrect response: “by good deeds (works), going to church -> respond: “You have rejected the bible” -> share the gospel to them.

Q

How can you answer the objection, “There are many ways to heaven.”

A
  • John 14:6 Jesus is the only way, truth and life. He is the only way to the Father. Either He is lying or telling the truth, “how then can there be other ways?”

Q

How can you answer the objection, “**All religions **are the same, teach the same thing, and it doesn’t matter which one you choose”?

A
  • “Either God is confused about His identity or doesn’t have one” -> Explain how Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Atheism view JC and salvation.
  • This is a lack of understanding because many people think its all about being a good person, but they are missing the more important questions: knowing God, having a relationship with Him and knowing the truth about life

Q

How to answer the objection, “The bible is written by man, and is not the word of God”? What are 7 prophecies about JC and the fulfillment (Scriptures please)?

Hint: 7 prophecies for you and Jesus and then fulfilled

A

False, if someone went to your mother when she was pregnant with you and gave 7 prophecies about ex: how you will be born, where you will, were you will got school, your relationships. And they all happened, either the prophet is an ordinary person or has divine inspiration.

*** Prophecies of JC and the Fulfillment: **
1) Jesus would heal many people: Isaiah 53:5, Mark 1:34
2) Jesus would be born in Bethlehem: Micah 5:2, Matthew 2:1
3) Jesus would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver: Zechariah 11:12—Matthew 26:14-15
4) Jesus would be crucified having His hands and feet pierced: Psalms 22:16, Mark 15:20
5) He was rejected as messiah by His own people: Isaiah 53:3, Matthew 27:22-23.
6) He was to be born of a virgin: Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:26-35
7) Jesus would be crucified between others: Isaiah 53:12, Luke 23:32-33.

Q

How do you respond to this objection of the bible,”As long as you are sincere you will go to heaven”?

Hint: a key, who is the Key to heaven?

A

“If I sincerely believe my key will open the door to your house will it? No matter how sincere I am it won’t open your door even if they are similar.” This isn’t about sincerity but the truth. Jesus said He is the key.

18
Q

How do you respond to this objection of the bible, “Why is there evil in the world”?

Hint: choice, free will, Garden of Eden -> curse -> Judgment day

A

Because choice is in the world. God gave everyone the free will to follow and obey Him or reject Him. God wanted to create people in His own image, not robots.
EX: garden of eden was free of disasters and sin -> the curse of is for a specific period of time, is not for every and ends on Judgment day were God will restore the world through JC.
