Q

What is the Transition from R -> G?

A

Our sin separates is from God, and sends us to hell. Many of the things we have gone through and done at times cause us to feel distant from God. We are never at peace until we deal with it. *But God cares, understands and loves us.

Unless we deal with our sin we will not have peace

Q

Why do we need christianity?

Hint: other faiths, Pardoning, your works.

A

All religions are not the same. Islams - Jesus is not the Son of God. In the bible there’s one God expressed fully by JC who died on the cross for your sins (which separate you from God) and we were pardoned by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He was undefiled and He cleansed and washed us so when God sees us He sees JC in us. Your works (actions) do not get you into heaven.

Q

Are you supposed to be a silent witness?

Scripture reference: Romans 10:14,17

A

No, in order to share to share the gospel personally the believer must be verbal. People cannot believe in Jesus if they haven’t heard of Him. They need a messenger to hear about Him.

Q

When starting a conversation about God, who should you listen to? How should you treat the person your engaging with?

Hint: something Holy, and a human

A

You should prayerfully listen to the Holy Spirit and the person your engaging with, so you can understand what God wants you to say to them, and to find out what matters to the person. It is important to actually listen to them to understand their needs.

Q

What are the five principles to follow while engaging in personal evangelism?

Hint: Focus on who?, Risks, Split second, Individually, Bold = (FRSIB)

A
  1. Focus on others needs and interests instead of your own.
  2. Be willing to take risks: If you are uncomfortable, ask God to build up your confidence by the Holy Spirit (it will change your life)
  3. Make the most of split second opportunities
  4. Talk to people you are evangelizing individually instead of groups: In groups people are usually on different spiritual levels (like different languages). Avoid the barrier.
  5. Be Bold: Hesitation makes others think you aren’t credible or something is wrong. So practice with people you know. Ask the Holy Spirit and it can give you supernatural boldness.

Q

what are 3 methods to follow when doing Visitation or Team sharing?

Scripture references: 2 Tim 2:24, Matthew 10:16, Hint: Respect, pray & build, wisdom (w/ speaking and poor approaches)

A
  1. Be Respectful: to others property, Ex: no walking on grass, blocking or parking in driveway. (2 Tim 2:24)
  2. Be prayerful and build relationships: Our purpose is to pray for neighborhoods we are visiting, to not be quarrelsome, but build relationships and Share Christ’s love. Our goal is to get the know the person we are with and undertstand our similar likes and interests and help them to connect to Jesus as we have. Prayerfully let the Holy Spirit lead and empower us to share the Gospel as He directs. Christ always give the person the opporunity to choose (respect this)
  3. Be wise!: ~For someone you know, ask if you can visit, pray for any needs they have, share with them 20 minutes about how they can have a relationship with Christ. Mention the impact the “Christ’s Forgiveness” Bible Study has had on you. Bring your mentor along to help you. ~ During a conversation and the Holy Spirit prompts you to change the conversation to spiritual things, -> share you testimony -> ask about sharing the FORGIVE presentation in 10 minutes (share each step) -> ask if they want to participate in the Bible Study, if declined say “Perhaps another time.” - Matthew 10:16

How does someone get saved?

Romans 10:9-10

A

By acknowledging and confessing Jesus is Lord which recognizes His power, authority and majesty as God, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead after 3 days.

when you believe -> justification, when you confess what you believe -> get salvation and confirms it. Demons can’t confess this.
