Cadiogenic shock
Cause by cardiac disorders including myocardial infarction
Hypovolemic shock
Caused by loss of blood or tissue fluid
Septic shock
Caused by infection
Neurogenic shock
Caused by spinal anesthesia pr upper spinal cord damage
Anaphylactic shock
Caused by severe allergic reactions
Vasogenic shock
caused by sepsis, deep anesthesia or anaphylaxis, widening of blood vessels
external artifacts
Buttons, zippers, eyeglasses, jewelry, hairbands
Internal artifacts
pacemaker, hip replacement, surgical clips
Anatomic artifacts
hand on the body part, arm positioned too low in anatomy of interest
Lead markers
denote the side of body
for later images of spine or torso, must be side closest to IR
Notes side of interest
lead markers must ve on at time of exposure
