coracobrachialis, biceps brachii + greater part of brachialis
what actions do muscles of musculocutaneous nerve produce?
FLEXION
biceps brachii - beer drinking muscle, supination of forearm, flexion at elbow
corachobrachialis - flexion at shoulder
brachialis - flexion at elbow
which nerve innervates muscles of anterior compartment of arm?
musculocutaneous
what are the two branches of the axillary nerve?
anterior terminal branch
posterior terminal branch
what muscles does the axillary nerve innervate?
deltoid and teres minor
what area does the axillary nerve give sensory innervation to?
regimental patch - tapping tests axillary nerve/C5,6
what is the action of muscles innervated by axillary nerve?
deltoid - flexion/extension at shoulder, abduction of arm
teres minor - lateral rotation of arm
what are the two branches of the radial nerve?
superficial and deep
what muscles does the radial nerve innervate?
ARM EXTENSORS - whole posterior arm/forearm triceps ECRL ECRB Extensor digitorum extensor digiti minimi extensor carpi ulnaris supinator abductor pollicis longus extensor pollicis brevis extensor pollicis longus extensor indicis
what are the branches of the median nerve?
anterior interosseous and palmar cutaneous (which gives off palmar digital cutaneous)
after carpal tunnel, gives off palmar digital branch and recurrent branch
what muscles does the median nerve innervate?
anterior forearm muscles (except FCU), thenar muscles + lateral 2 lumbricals
what are the branches of the ulnar nerve?
muscular branch, palmar cutaneous branch, dorsal cutaneous branch
what muscles does the ulnar nerve innervate?
flexor carpi ulnaris medial half of FDP hypothenars lateral two lumbricals all the interossei palmaris brevis adductor pollicis
