1) Dobash and Dobash (1979) (radical feminists) - they used statistics from police courts to record on domestic violence and some interviews took 8 hours - the found that marriage allows violence towards women and gives men power
2) Dean and Taylor Gooby (1992) - investigated unemployment on 85 people and some interviews took up to 90mins, the questions were adapted and there was a freedom to talk
