O: L lip of linea aspera in middle 1/3 of femur
I: head of fibula
Inn: common fibular n. (L5-S2)
A: stabilizes pelvis in sagittal plane; flexion and external (L) rotation of knee
semimembranosus
O: ischial tuberosity
I: M tibial condyle; oblique popliteal ligament; popliteus fascia
Inn: tibial n. (L5-S2)
A: extends hip and stabilizes pelvis in sagittal plane; flexion and internal (M) rotation of knee
semitendinosus
O: ischial tuberosity and sacrotuberous ligament (common head w/ long head of biceps femoris)
I: M to tibial tuberosity in pes anserinus (along w/ tendons of gracilis and sartorius)
Inn: tibial n. (L5-S2)
