I: P tibial surface above origin @ soleus
Inn: tibial n. (L4-S1)
A: flexion and internal (M) rotation of knee (stabilizes knee)
tibialis P
O: interosseous membrane; adjacent borders of tibia and fibula
I: navicular tuberosity; M, intermediate, and L cuneiforms; bases of 2nd-4th metatarsals
Inn: tibial n. (L4-L5)
A: plantar flexion @ talocrural joint; inversion (supination) @ subtalar joint; supports longitudinal and trasnverse arches
flexor digitorum longus
O: middle 1/3 of P surface of tibia
I: bases of 2nd-5th distal phalanges
Inn: tibial n. (L5-S2)
A: plantar flexion @ talocrural joint; inversion (supination) @ subtalar joint; plantar flexion @ MTPs and IPs of toes 2-5
flexor hallucis longus
O: distal 2/3 of P surface of fibula; adjacent interosseous membrane
I: base of 1st distal phalanx
Inn: tibial n. (L5-S2)
A: plantar flexion @ talocrural joint; inversion (supination) @ subtalar joint; plantar flexion @ MTP and IP of 1st toe; supports M longitudinal arch
