What is Turners syndrome?
Sex chromosome disorder in females caused by loss or partial or all of an X chromosome

What are some ultrasound features you would see prenatally that would be consistent with Turners syndrome?
Cystic hygroma
Fetal hydrops
Nuchal thickening
Kidney anomalies

What is sjrogen disease?
Chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the lacrimal duct and salivary glands leading to dry eyes and dry mouth
How does Sjrogen disease affect pregnancy?
SAB

What is the initial eval for sjrogen disease in pregnancy?
CBC

If antibodies are positive in autoimmune disease how can that affect pregnancy?
Can lead to congenital heart block in baby. Recommended to do fetal echo and PR intervals from 16-28 weeks
What is May Thurner syndrome?
Extrinsic venous compression leading to venous outflow obstruction
How can May Thurner syndrome present?
Lower extremity swelling
DVT
What is the management for May Thurner syndrome?
Mild symptoms= compression stockings
Moderate to severe symptoms= stenting/angioplasty
DVT= stunting with anticoagulation
What is the definition for placental abruption?
Premature separation of placenta from decidua at 20 weeks of gestation or beyond
What are clinical symptoms of placental abruption?
Vaginal bleeding
abdominal pain
Contractions
Uterine tenderness
NRFHTs
What are risk factors for placental abruption?
Abdominal trauma
History of previous abruption
Polyhydramnios
Hypertension
Drug use
Smoking
